The convenient default: we provide storage in Germany, with a transparent quota and nothing to set up.
Your organisation's SharePoint
accora stores the files directly in your Microsoft 365 tenant, in a library of your choice. The data stays where your IT already manages it.
Your own S3
You run S3-compatible storage yourself or trust a provider of your choice? accora uses it as the file store, and large files upload straight to it.
Credentials encrypted
Your storage credentials are stored encrypted in accora and can be changed or disconnected at any time, with deliberate confirmation instead of an accidental click.

Administrators always see how much storage the organisation uses, and with booked storage also the quota.
Why the storage location is a matter of principle
Learning material, submissions and recordings are the memory of an educational organisation. Keeping the files in your own SharePoint or on your own S3 means keeping control over backups, retention and your IT's access. accora then manages structure, permissions and versions while the bytes stay with you.
The right path for every size
Small organisations start on our storage and have nothing to worry about. Those with Microsoft 365 in the house connect SharePoint in a few minutes, with consent granted by IT. And those running their own infrastructure attach S3. Switching later is possible, and we help with the move.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is stored there?
All files of the organisation, meaning learning material with its versions, submissions and course images. Structure, permissions and metadata are managed by accora in its database.
Does accora see our SharePoint content?
accora only works inside the library and folder you select when connecting. The rest of your tenant stays out of reach.
Is there a storage limit?
With our storage the booked quota applies and usage is always visible. Your own SharePoint or S3 storage is not limited by accora.
What happens if we cancel?
If your files live in your SharePoint or S3, they are already with you. With booked storage we hand over the data in an orderly way, as the data processing agreement provides.
