Calendar & sessions — dates that reach everyone
Lecture, training day or parents'' evening: dates live in accora right at the course, together with the session material, and reach the calendar your people already use, via subscription.
Dates and sessions at a glance
Course and organisation dates
Dates belong to a course or apply organisation-wide. Everyone sees exactly what their role and course permissions allow.
Sessions with material
Every session carries a description and its documents: slides, scripts, even recordings. The material automatically lives in its own folder of the course content.
Duplicate sessions
Recurring units are copied with one click, then you only adjust the date.
iCal subscription for any calendar
A personal subscription link brings all dates to Outlook, Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, continuously updated and with the course name in the entry.
Tidy in everyday use
Month and list view in accora, past sessions tucked away in the course until you need them. The focus stays on what is ahead.
One date, every channel
Maintaining dates twice is the most common source of errors in learning organisations. In accora you enter the date once, the course shows it, the calendar collects it, and the iCal subscription carries it into the private calendars of everyone entitled to see it. If something changes, it changes everywhere.
The session as the anchor
A session in accora is more than a calendar entry: description, materials and the date belong together. Participants find the handouts of session three exactly where they expect them, and teachers upload them the moment they exist.
Frequently asked questions
Does the subscription work with Outlook, Apple and Google?
Yes, it uses the iCal standard (webcal) that all major calendars support. The link is personal and can be regenerated at any time if it falls into the wrong hands.
Who sees which dates?
Course dates are visible to the members of the course, organisation dates to all members. The subscription delivers exactly the dates the person also sees in accora.
Can I attach recordings to a session?
Yes, recordings are ordinary session materials. Even large video files can be uploaded and are available for download afterwards.
Can dates be exported?
Besides the live subscription there is export as an ICS file and as CSV, for notice boards or the administration.
Dates without double bookkeeping?
We will set up a sample course with a calendar subscription together, then you see the path from entry to phone.
